Why buy olive oil online in Ireland

Most olive oil on Irish shelves is blended from several countries and several seasons, then stored for months before it is sold. Ours comes from a single grove at Cortijo el Marqués in Granada: the olives are picked early, milled the same day and bottled in 500ml glass. A bottle costs €25.00 and delivery anywhere in Ireland is €3.95.

Buying online means the oil travels from the mill to your kitchen with nothing in between — no distributor warehouse, no year on a bright supermarket shelf. Each bottle carries its harvest year so you always know how fresh it is.

Early-harvest Picual, tasted honestly

Picual olives harvested at the very start of the season give a green, grassy oil with a peppery finish at the back of the throat — that catch is the polyphenols, and it is the sign of a young, healthy oil. It suits Irish cooking better than people expect: over soda bread and butter-soft potatoes, through soups, on tomatoes, and stirred into anything that would otherwise take butter. You can read our full laboratory analysis on the oil page, or see recipes we cook with it at home.

Delivery to every county

We ship to Ireland only, for €3.95 per order, usually arriving three to five working days after dispatch. Orders are packed in the order they arrive, and every harvest is limited — once the bottles are gone, they are gone until the next picking.

Questions Irish customers ask

Where can I buy good extra virgin olive oil in Ireland?
Our 500ml bottles are sold directly from this website and posted to any address in Ireland. Because we mill, bottle and ship a single harvest ourselves, the oil reaches you months fresher than supermarket blends that pass through several hands.
How much does delivery to Ireland cost, and how long does it take?
Delivery is €3.95 per order to every county in Ireland and normally arrives within three to five working days of dispatch. Ireland is the only country we currently ship to.
What makes Picual olive oil different?
Picual olives picked early in the season give a green, peppery oil that is high in polyphenols and unusually stable, so it keeps its character in the bottle and stands up to warm dishes as well as raw drizzling.
How fresh is the oil, and how should I store it?
Every bottle comes from one harvest and carries its harvest year. Keep it upright in a cool, dark cupboard, away from the hob, and use it within three months of opening for the fullest flavour.
Can I order olive oil as a gift in Ireland?
Yes. Our packaging is already elegant enough to give as a gift, so we do not offer extra wrapping. If you add a message at checkout we will include a handwritten note, but we never include pricing or receipts inside the box.
