Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
1. General
The Good Olive Oil is a business registered in Ireland under company registration number 775106, trading as La Piedra del Molino.
You can contact us at hola@lapiedradelmolino.com.
These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through lapiedradelmolino.com. By placing an order through our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. When you purchase from us, you enter into a contract with The Good Olive Oil. The contract is governed by Irish law. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects any statutory rights available to you under Irish or European Union consumer law.
2. Our Product
We sell a single product: La Piedra del Molino Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 500ml.
La Piedra del Molino is an early harvest extra virgin olive oil produced from olives grown on our estate, known as Cortijo El Marqués, in Granada, Spain. The olives are grown and harvested in our grove.
Extraction and bottling are carried out at the mill, RGSA 16005069/CO, using mechanical processes. The extraction is carried out at a low temperature to maximise quality. The olive oil is filtered, bottled, sealed and labelled. Harvesting and extraction take place on the same day.
The 2025/2026 harvest was analysed by an independent laboratory in December 2025. The relevant laboratory results are available on our website.
As olive oil is a natural agricultural product, its colour, aroma, flavour and other characteristics may vary slightly between harvests or batches. These natural variations do not, by themselves, mean that the product is defective or does not conform to its description.
All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to limit the quantity available for purchase or to discontinue the product at any time. Discontinuing the product will not affect orders that we have already accepted, unless we are unable to fulfil the order, in which case we will notify you and issue a full refund.
3. Storage and Product Quality
To preserve the quality of the olive oil, bottles should be:
- Stored in a cool, dry place
- Protected from direct sunlight and other sources of heat
- Kept securely closed when not in use
- Stored and consumed in accordance with any instructions shown on the bottle or packaging
- Consumed before the best-before date shown on the bottle
We cannot guarantee that the product will maintain its expected quality if it is stored or handled contrary to the storage instructions provided on the product, packaging or website.
This clause does not limit your statutory rights where the product was damaged, defective, unsafe, not as described or otherwise failed to conform to the contract at the time of delivery.
4. Ordering Options
We offer two ways to order La Piedra del Molino Extra Virgin Olive Oil:
A. Orders from Existing Stock
You may order bottles from our available stock of the 2025/2026 harvest, subject to availability.
B. Pre-Orders for the 2026/2027 Harvest
You may pre-order bottles from the anticipated 2026/2027 harvest. The full pre-order price, including any applicable delivery charge, must be paid at the time the pre-order is placed.
Any anticipated harvest, bottling, dispatch or delivery date shown on the website is an estimate. Olive harvesting and production depend on agricultural, environmental, production and logistical factors that may be outside our reasonable control.
If we are unable to fulfil a pre-order because of a problem with the harvest, production, quality, availability or another relevant circumstance, we will cancel the affected pre-order and issue a full refund to the original payment method.
If there is a material delay to the estimated availability or dispatch date, we will contact affected customers using the email address provided with the order. Customers will be given the option to:
- Keep the pre-order and accept the revised estimated date; or
- Cancel the pre-order and receive a full refund.
Unless one of the lawful exceptions to the cancellation right applies, placing a pre-order does not remove any mandatory cancellation rights available to a consumer under applicable law.
5. Placing an Order
By placing an order through our website, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- The information you provide is accurate, current and complete
- You are authorised to use the payment method provided
- You have provided a complete and accurate delivery address
After receiving your order, we will send an order confirmation email to the email address you provided. This email confirms that we have received your order, but it does not constitute acceptance of that order.
A contract between you and us is formed only when we dispatch your goods and send you a dispatch confirmation.
We may refuse or cancel an order before dispatch for reasons including:
- The product is unavailable
- We cannot deliver to the address provided
- The payment has not been authorised
- We reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised activity
- There is an obvious error in the product description, price or delivery charge
- The order exceeds any quantity limit displayed on our website
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will issue a full refund to the original payment method.
6. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in euros (€) and include VAT where applicable.
Any applicable delivery charge will be displayed during checkout before you place your order.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By submitting your payment details, you confirm that you are authorised to use the relevant payment method and authorise the total order amount, including any applicable delivery charge, to be collected.
We do not directly store complete card payment details. Payment processing is also subject to Stripe’s applicable terms and privacy arrangements.
Prices are correct at the time they are published. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but a price change will not affect an order we have already accepted.
If we identify an obvious pricing error after you place an order but before the order is accepted, we will contact you. You will be given the option to place the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.
7. Delivery
We currently deliver to addresses in the Republic of Ireland only. We do not ship to the United Kingdom, the rest of the European Union, or any other destination.
Standard delivery is normally expected within 3 to 5 working days after dispatch.
- Delivery is free for orders of €50 or more
- A delivery charge of €3.95 applies to orders below €50
Orders are shipped from Dublin. Any order placed with a delivery address outside the Republic of Ireland will be cancelled and refunded in full.
General Delivery Conditions
Delivery times are estimates rather than guaranteed dates, unless we have expressly agreed a specific delivery date with you.
Delivery may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, carrier delays, strikes or other force majeure events. If a material delay occurs, we will contact you where reasonably possible and explain the available options.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. We are not responsible for a failed or delayed delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by you, although we will make reasonable efforts to assist.
Risk of loss of or damage to the product passes to you when you, or a person identified by you other than the carrier, receives physical possession of the product.
Ownership of the product passes to you upon delivery, provided we have received payment in full.
8. Cancellations, Returns, Damaged Products and Refunds
8.1 Your Right to Cancel
Subject to the exceptions permitted by law, consumers purchasing online generally have the right to cancel an order without giving a reason within 14 days from the date on which they receive the goods.
If an order contains multiple products that are delivered separately, the cancellation period begins on the date on which you receive the final product included in that order.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly inform us of your decision before the 14-day cancellation period expires. You may do so by emailing us at hola@lapiedradelmolino.com. Your email should include your name, order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel your purchase.
8.2 Returning a Cancelled Order
After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you must return the product within a further 14 days.
The product should be returned:
- Unopened and with the bottle’s seal intact
- In its original condition
- Safely and securely packaged to prevent damage during return
- Where reasonably possible, in its original packaging
Unless the product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning it.
Please contact us at hola@lapiedradelmolino.com before returning a product so that we can provide you with the appropriate return address and instructions.
You may be responsible for any reduction in the value of the product caused by handling it beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish its nature and characteristics.
8.3 Opened or Unsealed Bottles
Because olive oil is a food product supplied in a sealed bottle, we cannot accept a change-of-mind return where the bottle’s seal has been broken, to the extent that the product is not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons and the applicable legal exception applies.
This restriction does not apply where the product is faulty, damaged, unsafe, not as described, incorrectly supplied or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
The fact that a bottle has been opened does not prevent you from contacting us about a genuine fault, defect, transportation damage or other problem with the product.
8.4 Products Damaged During Delivery
If a parcel or bottle arrives with visible signs of damage, please:
- Photograph the parcel, bottle, seal and any visible damage
- Retain the bottle and all relevant packaging
- Contact us as soon as reasonably possible at hola@lapiedradelmolino.com
Please include your name, order number and a description of the damage.
8.5 Faulty, Incorrect or Non-Conforming Products
Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible if your order:
- Arrives damaged or has been damaged during transportation
- Is faulty or unsafe
- Is not as described
- Is different from what you ordered
- Is missing an item
- Otherwise does not conform to the contract
Please email us at hola@lapiedradelmolino.com and include your order number, a description of the issue and, where reasonably possible, photographs of the bottle, seal, packaging and any visible damage.
Asking for photographs or other relevant information does not affect your statutory rights.
Depending on the circumstances and your rights under applicable consumer law, we will arrange an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement, price reduction or refund.
Where the product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, we will cover any reasonable return costs for which we are legally responsible.
8.6 Refunds Following Cancellation
Where you validly exercise your cancellation right, we will refund:
- The price paid for the returned product; and
- The cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, where applicable.
If you selected a delivery option that was more expensive than our least expensive standard delivery service, we will not refund the additional delivery cost.
We will make the refund using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless you expressly agree otherwise.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned product or you provide evidence that it has been sent back, whichever occurs first.
Once those conditions are satisfied, the refund will be made without undue delay and within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Nothing in this section reduces or replaces your statutory rights. Your rights in relation to a faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrectly supplied or non-conforming product are separate from your right to cancel a purchase because you have changed your mind.
9. Product Information
We take reasonable care to ensure that descriptions, photographs, harvest information, laboratory information and prices displayed on the website are accurate.
Images are provided for illustrative purposes. The appearance of the bottle, label, packaging or olive oil may vary slightly from website images due to manufacturing changes, screen settings or natural variation between batches.
The independent laboratory results provided on the website relate to the batch or harvest identified in the relevant report. They should not be interpreted as results for a different batch or future harvest unless expressly stated.
Nutritional, storage and other product information is provided on the bottle, packaging or website. If you have an allergy, intolerance, medical condition or specific dietary requirement, you should review the product information carefully and contact us before purchasing if you require clarification.
Nothing in the product description or laboratory information constitutes medical, nutritional or health advice.
10. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We are not responsible for a delay or failure to perform an obligation where that delay or failure is caused by an event outside our reasonable control.
Such events may include extreme weather, crop failure, wildfire, drought, pest or plant disease, transport disruption, carrier failure, industrial action, governmental restrictions, interruption to utilities, mill or bottling disruption, or other events that could not reasonably have been avoided.
If such an event materially affects an accepted order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. Where we cannot fulfil the order, or where you have a legal right to cancel because of the delay, we will provide a refund in accordance with applicable law.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, our liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the total price paid for that order.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, photography, graphics, logos, labels, brand names, product descriptions and website design, is owned by or licensed to The Good Olive Oil or La Piedra del Molino.

Our website’s use of cookies and similar technologies is described in our Cookie Policy.
Stripe and delivery service providers may process certain personal information where necessary to process payments and fulfil your order. Further information is provided in our Privacy Policy.
14. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

Please include your name, order number and a clear description of the issue.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions and any contract formed under them are governed by the laws of Ireland.
16. Changes to These Terms and Conditions
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time, including to reflect changes to our business, product, delivery arrangements or applicable law.
The Terms and Conditions in effect at the time you place your order will apply to that order. Any changes made after we have accepted an order will not retrospectively change the agreed contract, unless required by law or agreed with you.
